Myrtle: Senie Hunt

Senie Hunt is a self-taught, singer-songwriter and percussive guitarist. Adopted from Sierra Leone, Senie brought with him an inherent passion for West African rhythms and Melodies. When his family gave him his first guitar, he began experimenting with percussive finger-style grooves capturing his West African roots and blending contemporary genres. Senie’s mesmerizing guitar technique, strong vocals, combined with his live looping make for an eclectic performance that is powerful, fun and artfully unique. He has featured as the opening act for several big time artists such as Richard Thompson, The Wailers, The Levin Brothers, Robert Randolph, Brooks Young, Kris Allen, and Daby Touré.
