Howdy,
In keeping with a 500 million-year-old tradition, we are hosting our third annual potluck celebrating the spawning events of horseshoe crabs in Narragansett Bay. You’re invited to join us tomorrow for the weirdest potluck of your life, held in the middle of an estuary in Warwick. At the peak of the potluck, the water comes up ankle-deep around the potluck tables, and 2,000 horseshoe crabs emerge from the depths, and, well, spawn.
Kids are welcome — this is a family-friendly mass spawning event, and you’re free to bring anyone you like. It’s a potluck, so bring snacks.

When: Tomorrow, June 22 at 7pm until the tide drops
What does one wear to a mass spawning event? I recommend clothes that can get wet. Watershoes are also recommended, and a flashlight. Towels are great too.
What if it rains? The forecast has been shifting all over the place. There might be a bit of drizzle. We’ll be there, rain or shine, and we’ll bring something to keep the rain off the food.
Come for the crabs. Stay for the friends!
