Art Build
July 5th, 5-8 PM at Public
When the Israeli Occupation banned the Palestinian flag, Palestinians adopted the watermelon as a symbol of resistance since it has the same colors: red, white, green and black. We know how to make giant watermelons, and we want to teach you! Come by with your friends and family and learn how to build a watermelon out of cardboard!
Public & Planeta are teaming up to bring you a multigenerational hangout (in solidarity with P@|3stin3) where we’ll share and demonstrate how to build cardboard watermelon slices, as seen at our wigging out party. Make them small or large and take them with you wherever you go!
Instructional times: 5:15, 6:15, & 7:15 PM
