Coming to play the open mic? Here’s what to expect:
Those interested in participating in the open mic will need to submit their names by 6:45pm.
The first half of the evening, starting at 7:00pm, will be ~45min performance from a featured artist we’ve invited to play. We will take a short break and start the Open Mic portion of the evening around 8pm, choosing the lineup for the evening and announcing beforehand.
Each performer will get one song or a 5-minute reading. (Yes! Writers are welcome.) We’ve been fortunate to have everyone who comes get a chance to play one at least song! If we have more performers we can bring onstage, we will ask those who have already participated if they would be willing to let new-comers play. We will see how it goes! We will wrap up the evening around 9:30pm.
$10 Donations at the door will fund future Open Mic Series, including series features and more workshops. There is free tea and often cookies and other treats available.
