“I’m a single mom who wears a lot of hats and tries to make space for art every day. Painting is my visual journal, a space where I process the emotions and events of my life. I find that the initial layer of watercolor tends to flow out of me and is often an emotional process. The next layers of ink and pencil feel like an act of organizing the chaos of whatever I was feeling or thinking about. Sharing my art reminds me of reading my journal out loud to someone. I hope you can enjoy or connect to the way I process. Watercolor is my primary medium for this, but I have recently added acrylic and oil paint as well as digital art and printmaking to my repertoire.” Liz White
