Diamond Blues delivers high-energy, soulful, and exploratory performances in tribute to the one-of-a-kind, rock-gospel-soul-rhythm and blues group, the Jerry Garcia Band.  Led by David Rubin on vocals & guitar, the band features Madolyn Allison on vocals & percussion, Lucas Bateman on drums, Ian Brenkle on bass, Caroline Killoh on vocals & keys, Chris Belden on saxophone, and special guest William Lombardelli on trombone.

Since 2021, Diamond Blues has become one of the most highly regarded jam bands in Boston, playing two residencies a month to capacity crowds, being selected to perform at Jerry Day at Fenway Park to an audience of thousands, and expanding its touring radius to greater Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.  In late 2023, the band incorporated a full horn section into the mix and began performing the music of beloved Phish side project the Trey Anastasio Band, weaving tight, funky grooves together seamlessly with the loose, flowing psychedelic rock of Jerry Garcia.

By combining the repertoires of two legendary frontmen, the JGB + TAB show was born, and on June 30th, it’s coming to Rhode Island for the very first time!
